Key Jobs Responsibilities

The Associate Investment Officer will perform the following functions-

  • Interact with TFP relationship managers, the Office of Risk Management, Controller’s Department and the Treasury Department in the establishment and maintenance of credit lines, execution of transactions and administration of the TFP.
  • Support the implementation of operational guidelines for processing TFP transactions; assists in the implementation of Central Loan Accounting and Servicing System (CLASS) for purposes of tracking TFP transactions and specific bank limits against the overall program limit; and monitors the banks participating in the TFP to track limits, exposure, and, individual transactions.
  • Support and administers risk participation and risk distribution arrangements with partner international banks and multilateral and bilateral organizations involved in the TFP.
  • Support discussions and negotiations with banks and other financial institutions in the region to foster business relationships with ADB.
  • Contribute to TFP’s information technology initiatives.

Applicants must have-

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting and related fields; preferably with advanced training or post graduate degree.
  • At least 6 years relevant work experience.
  • Proven ability to undertake research and analysis on difficult but well-defined tasks; collect and organize required data and information; apply appropriate computer skills in analyzing and organizing the data; and prepare notes, papers and sections of reports.
  • Good analytical thinking, with ability to comprehend causal links, make pros-and-cons analysis, and analyze factors to reach a decision.
  • Effective report-writing and communication skills in English.
  • Ability to effectively interact with staff at all levels within and outside department.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teams as a constructive team member.
  • Ability to manage priorities and workload within general schedule of work, instructions and standardized practices.
  • Ability to work with individuals from different cultural/national backgrounds.
