Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) is currently seeking applications from eligible applicants for the post of Finance & Administration Officer in Berlin, Germany. The duration of this post is 2 years.
NRC provides assistance, protection and durable solutions to refugees and internally displaced persons worldwide.
Key Jobs Responsibilities
The Finance & Administration Officer will perform the following functions:
- Finance:
- Keep accurate and up-to-date financial records (bookkeeping, reconciliations, documentation, filing, etc.).
- Process invoices, monitor accounts payable and initiate payments; administer cash box.
- Review in and processing travel expense reimbursements claims.
- Assist with the preparation of the monthly financial reports
- Human resources:
- Support human resource processes (i.e. recruitment, onboarding, payroll, absence, record storage, etc.).
- Handle sensitive Information in a confidential manner.
- Office administration:
- Provide administrative support to colleagues and visitors.
- Lead office supply management and inventory controls; coordinate repairs to office equipment.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have:
- Undergraduate studies in the areas of finance, human resources and/or business administration.
- 3 year’s of relevant work experience.
- Understanding of basic bookkeeping, and accounting systems.
- Effective communication skills with individuals at all levels of the organisation.
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal, and good command of German.
- Good organisational, time management and prioritising skills; superior attention to detail.
- Computer literate; good knowledge of MS Office (in particular Word, Excel and Outlook).
