Key Jobs Responsibilities

The Financial Analyst will perform the following functions-

  • Conduct data analysis, and empirical and policy research work to contribute to TRE knowledge activities and RAMP/TRE participation in international events, such as surveys, policy notes, white papers, and speeches and presentations for global conferences.
  • Assist in drafting FABRP sections of periodic corporate reports.
  • Provide analytical support to RAMP Engagement Managers (EMs), who are responsible for leading RAMP capacity building efforts with various public asset management clients, such as central banks, sovereign wealth funds, public pension funds and other international financial institutions:
    • Contribute to the preparation of RAMP on-site missions and workshops.
    • Support in the preparation and review of aide memoires and other relevant client-related documents.
  • Work with RAMP business partners and specialists within TRE, relevant World Bank units and other knowledge partners to develop and update workshop and training materials to reflect evolving investment practices and market environment.
  • Support the analysis of client capacity-building progress in line with the parameters set out in the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Assist in analytical work for new investment product development, and enhancement of RAMP’s operational processes.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must have-

  • Master’s degree in economics, finance or related field with 2-3 years of work experience in finance is a plus.
  • Strong research, analytical, and quantitative skills for data management and empirical/policy research.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.
  • Experience in using programming and specialized software for economic/financial research data analysis and visualization.
  • Demonstrated ability to research, extract, and process economic/financial data from various source systems and repositories, especially Bloomberg, IMF databases, and online sources.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple simultaneous priorities, and work effectively in a team.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to develop productive relationships within and outside the and promote collaboration to achieve the team’s objectives.
  • Flexibly to work on a range of assignments, ability to take initiative and adapt to changing requirements and priorities.
  • Highest ethical standards.
