The Senior Financial Management Assistant is responsible for administrative and operational support services for various activities relating to office administration for Public Financial Management Division (PFFM).

The ADB aims for an Asia and Pacific free from poverty.

Key Jobs Responsibilities

The Senior Financial Management Assistant will perform the following functions-

  • Assist in preparing papers on policies and strategies.
  • Undertake research and collates relevant documents.
  • Monitor and draft summary of comments from various departments, and assists in the editing of the report.
  • Arrange logistics, assists in preparing meeting materials, and drafts meeting minutes.
  • Maintain inventory of guidelines, knowledge products and other key deliverables.
  • Maintain PFFM files & websites.
  • Assist in preparing knowledge products (good practices, technical notes and issues papers), undertakes research, and collates relevant documents.
  • Coordinate with relevant offices in ensuring timely release of knowledge products and provides support in dissemination.
  • Assist in preparing presentation materials and arranges logistics of knowledge dissemination activities such as conferences, workshops and seminars.
  • Assist in drafting technical assistance (TA) papers, prepares matrix of comments, drafts meeting minutes, prepares relevant correspondences, makes arrangements for TA missions and manages TA files.
  • Provide administrative assistance to Director, PFFM, which includes preparation of correspondence and documents and efficient reception services.
  • Monitor and track incoming and outgoing documents, reports, emails for action or reassignment.
  • Schedule and coordinate appointments, receives telephone calls, takes messages, and arranges mission travel.
  • Perform any other duties as may be required and reflected in the incumbent’s workplan.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must have-

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, commerce or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Knowledge of ADB policies, guidelines and procedures.
  • Ability to work independently on areas of assigned analysis and research.
  • Ability to collect, maintain and manipulate data and information from various sources.
  • Proficient in spreadsheets and required information technologies to prepare charts and graphs, and perform other analytic work.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Proficient in ADB standard software programs and information technologies.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, confidently and persuasively with colleagues throughout ADB, including senior staff; Effective report writing.
  • Ability to provide guidance to other administrative staff on assigned area of work.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teams as a constructive team member.
