World Health Organization (WHO) is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of HR Assistant in Copenhagen, Denmark. The duration of this post is 1 years.

The primary role of WHO is to direct and coordinate international health within the United Nations system.

Key Jobs Responsibilities

The HR Assistant will perform the following-

  • Manage the monitoring of the contractual status of all regional staff serving on temporary and fixed-term appointments. Produce staff reports from GSM to maintain an overview of the workforce and propose necessary administrative contract related actions to managers and administrative staff.
  • Liaise directly with Global Human Resources on a monthly basis to confirm imminent expirations of appointment and separations for the monthly payroll.
  • Monitor and track the workforce planning of EURO staffing and send notifications and recommendation to supervisors and administrative staff advance of contract expiry date with due regard to standard notice periods. Proactively confirm that necessary actions have been taken within GSM for the extension of appointments.
  • Provide information and advice to clients on the process of extension of appointments, upcoming separations and retirements. This will include providing guidance on the mandatory break in service for temporary staff members serving under staff rule 420.4.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must have-

  • Equivalent to graduation from secondary school or equivalent.
  • An academic qualification in management or administration would be an asset.
  • Minimum 8 years of work in the administrative field, of which at least 3 years experience in WHO/UN, preferably relevant to a human resources administration area.
  • Proven experience in dealing with confidential information.
  • Experience in working with HR reports and metrics.
  • Excellent knowledge of English
