Human Resources Assistant at UNICEF, Jordan

United Nations Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Human Resources Assistant in Jordan.

Key Jobs Responsibilities

The Human Resources Assistant will perform the following functions-

  • Assist the HR Unit with recruitment administration: drafting initial HR long/short list, communicates with candidates and Hiring Units, organizes and administers the different stages of assessments (including interviews) during the entire process, conducts reference checks, finalizes case documents and obtains approval from the different level of approval authorities (CRB, HR RO, RD, Representative), coordinates with GSSC on the onboarding process in TMS (including medical clearance etc).
  • Support with organizing newly recruited staff members’ induction briefing and onboarding process (installation sheet, sharing bio data etc).
  • Assist with staff Leave Administration by updating quarterly and annual leave plans for the entire office, conducting leave verification exercise on a quarterly basis and supports offices in managing leave data in SAP/HR.
  • Maintain, updates and validates HR records, and manages HR Files for RO/JCO.
  • Update staff lists and organogrammes as required.
  • Support the drafting of United Nations Joint Staff Pension Fund (UNJSPF) actions, Medical Insurance coverage, and coordinates medical examination for newly appointed staff in RO and JCO.
  • Prepare document for presentation to different authorities: Recruitment Panel, CRB, Learning and Development Committee, Staff Well-being Committee, RO etc.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must have-

  • Completion of secondary education, preferably supplemented by technical or university courses related to the work of the organization.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible human resources, administrative and clerical work experience is required.
  • Fluency in English and Arabic is required.
