Save the Children is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Human Resources Director in Amman, Jordan.

Key Jobs Responsibilities

The Human Resources Director will perform the following functions-

  • Help design and implement a coherent and sustainable organization structure consistent with Save the Children policies and procedure and appropriate to program need.
  • Support the development of an organisational culture that reflect Save the Children value, promote high performance and accountability, encourage a team culture of learning, creativity and innovation, and ensure a conducive working environment to help staff deliver outstanding result for children and excellent customer service for SC member and donor.
  • Ensure the compliance with Save the Children policy and procedure, essential humanitarian standard, donor regulation and relevant national labour law and other relevant statutory requirement.
  • Ensure full use of SCI system and tool; review regularly and secure those that timely, competitive and legal.
  • Ensure compliance of HR policy and procedure with the legal framework.
  • Negotiate all issue related to HR contract (payroll, health and safety etc.) with the assistance of HR Manager and the lawyer to also secure the interest of the organization.
  • Manage the analysis of HR need- both short-term and longer-term surge need; and look for sustainable solution at national, regional and global level.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must have-

  • Masters specialisation in Human Resources or Business Administration (MBA) with specialisation in Human Resources.
  • Minimum 7 to 10 years of senior management experience in an NGO or a corporate environment, including experience in the development of strategic and operational support services plans and their implementation in an international work environment over a sustained period.
  • Ability to coach, mentor, delegate and provide developmental guidance to direct reports.
  • Strong motivation for continuous self-development in HR issues and national employment laws.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
