United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Logistics Officer in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea.
The Logistics Officer will support the country Office in the management of logistics functions, including those related to Logistics (in the context of the Polio campaigns), for Equatorial Guinea Country Office, in support of the country office programme, permitting to achieve the expected results, particularly of Polio emergency response.

Key Jobs Responsibilities
The Logistics Officer will perform the following functions-
- Participate in the timely planning and acquisition of supplies during the programme review process, crucial element during polio SIAs.
- Ensure administrative support in its delivery, monitoring, control and inventory.
- Identify gaps and challenges still facing in immunization supply chain management for polio and RI.
- Provide technical support to EPI as needed, to strengthen systems for effective supply chain and logistics management for polio and RI.
- Advice on how vaccines and cold chain equipment can meet the polio and RI needs, including development of preferred product profiles.
- Support dissemination of relevant global guidance and training materials on effective vaccine management practices and equipment management.
- Contribute in the execution of the Effective Vaccine Management standard operating procedures and assisting with valuable data based Electronic stock management systems (SMT).
- Provide technical inputs to advance the use of vaccines in a controlled temperature chain, including helping the development of guidance materials, and support to field studies.
- Other activities related to logistics and supply of vaccination programs of EQG.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- University degree in Business Administration, Management or a related field.
- At least 2 years of progressively responsible experience in logistics.
- Experience with UNICEF anywhere highly considered.
- Proficiency in Cold Chain and Logistics operations as well as full knowledge of Effective Vaccine Management standard operating procedures a must.
- Knowledge of Electronic stock management systems (SMT) is required.
- Fluency in Spanish is required.
- Knowledge of English and another UN working language is desirable.
