World Health Organization (WHO) is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of National Professional Officer in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The duration of this post is 2 year.

The primary role of WHO is to direct and coordinate international health within the United Nations system.

Key Jobs Responsibilities

The National Professional Officer will perform the following functions-

  • Develop, implement, monitor and evaluate comprehensive training and development strategies for GSC that incorporate current training needs but also anticipates future needs based upon dialogue with staff and supervisors.
  • Provide efficient coordination and reporting of the training and development efforts to optimize the impact of the trainings offered to staff and the organization at large.
  • Manage the analysis of learning needs, and the design, development, implementation, evaluation and administration of learning events.
  • In collaboration with senior management, develop centre-wide learning and development plans.
  • The delivery of activities will be conducted through various approaches with suitable training providers for the benefit of all units.
  • Deployment of corporate level learning and development initiatives, such as i-Learn in liaison with Human Resources Department (HRD).
  • Identify and engage strategic partnerships with special expertise in various learning and development sectors.
  • In collaboration with the management of the units, identify, develop and arrange additional structured trainings in the area of on-boarding, performance management and transaction processing to jump start and continuously improve the work of the GSC.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must have-

  • University degree in HR Management, Public or Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in learning and development and providing training in a large organizational setting.
  • Experience within a UN organization.
  • Expert knowledge of English.
