World Health Organization (WHO) is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Team Lead in Geneva, Switzerland. The duration of this post is 2 year.

The primary role of WHO is to direct and coordinate international health within the United Nations system.

Key Jobs Responsibilities

The Team Lead will perform the following functions-

  • Lead and manage a team of Programme Managers and Officers – Plan and lead development of a portfolio of grants.
  • Promote, maintain and oversee high standards of management quality and performance of a portfolio of grants.
  • Promote synergy and strategic alignment amongst complementary grants in the portfolio and other interventions.
  • Ensure grant implementation is aligned with overall Unitaid strategy.
  • Manage relationships with grant implementers and partners; develop operational and strategic partnerships globally to ensure success of the grants, including transition to new sources of funding where applicable.
  • Oversee collaboration of Programme Managers with units across Unitaid, especially around strategy development, impact assessment, and monitoring & evaluation.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must have-

  • Advanced level university degree in finance/economics, public or business administration, project management, development studies or public health.
  • Degree in social sciences.
  • At least 10 years of progressive experience at national/ international level in managing complex grants in the private sector, public health or international development areas, including project design, risk assessment, implementation, and results-based financial management.
  • Expert knowledge of English.
