United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Business Analyst in New York, United States.

Key Jobs Responsibilities

The Business Analyst will perform the following functions-

  • Review internal audit reports to identify issues relating to internal controls or financial and administrative management which could require DFAM support.
  • Communication of issues to DFAM Section Heads either for action or for information.
  • Follow-up with relevant Divisions, ROs or COs for action or for information.
  • Where required, draft responses for review by supervisor.
  • Monitor the status of recommendations made and responses / actions taken for.
  • Draft guidance for donor visits and related training.
  • Provide guidance to COs on conduct of visits.
  • Review resulting donor oversight reports and support draft of formal response, as needed, for review.
  • Keep track of donor oversight reports and their relevant findings.
  • Monitor implementation of recommendations.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must have –

  • University degree in accounting, finance, or business administration; or professional accounting qualification (CA, CPA or equivalent).
  • Training in internal or external audit is highly desirable.
  • Minimum 2 years progressively responsible professional experience in the area of finance, accounting, or auditing.
  • Strong knowledge of computer systems and information management tools, Office and financial and accounting applications is desirable.
  • Fluency in English (written & verbal) is required.
  • Knowledge of an additional UN Language (French, Arabic, Chinese, Russian and Spanish) is considered an asset.
