The Financial Control Specialist will provide financial information services to internal and external stakeholders. Recommend and implement good system design and procedures and workflows to strengthen financial and internal control and streamline the business processes.

The ADB aims for an Asia and Pacific free from poverty.

Key Jobs Responsibilities

The Financial Control Specialist will perform the following functions-

  • Plan, supervise and participate in all phases of the systems development lifecycle.
  • Select options for solving system and workflow problems and propose the most suitable solutions based on functional and economic considerations.
  • Represent the CTL on IT initiatives.
  • Review and recommend accordingly any changes to CTL systems, policies and procedures to promote timeliness, accuracy and efficiency in processing while maintaining appropriate internal controls.
  • Undertake or contribute to the implementation of special projects for process and systems improvements.
  • Provide professional leadership and support to reporting staff.
  • Supervise the performance of reporting staff, providing clear direction and regular monitoring and feedback on performance.
  • Ensure the on-going learning and development of reporting staff.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must have-

  • Master’s degree, or equivalent in finance, business administration or Information Technology or equivalent; or University degree in finance, business administration or Information Technology or equivalent combined with specialized experience in similar organizations, may be considered in lieu of a Master’s degree.
  • At least 8 years’ relevant experience in financial control, financial systems analysis and development, IT project management in the finance/banking industry.
  • International experience working in several countries.
  • Suitability to undertake the responsibilities mentioned above at the required level.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
