The HR Coordinator will provide technical support and guidance to team, ensure the quality of the planning, implementation and follow up of all technical aspects of the sector.

DRC fulfills its mandate by providing direct assistance to conflict-affected populations – refugees, internally displaced people (IDPs) and host communities in the conflict areas of the world.

The HR Coordinator will perform the following functions:

  • Human Resources Support
    • Provide technical support and advice to the Human Resources team.
    • Advise and assist managers in Human Resources related issues and concerns in full compliance with DRC People Management Policy and the Labor Code of Ukraine.
    • Coordinate contract management for local employees and maintain the system of relevant documentation, including orders, applications, personnel documents.
    • Coordinate salary payment according to the data provided by ERP.
  • ERP HR Super user
    • Responsible for timely updating of data in Human Recourse Module of ERP Dynamics: hire, extend, change, terminate employees in the system.
    • Coordinate Probation and Performance and Development process via ERP.
  • Recruitment, development and people planning
    • Drive and support recruitment and selection activities ensuring compliance with recruitment process.
    • Work with senior management team and senior staff on new staff retention strategies and initiatives.
  • Ensure proper on boarding process
    • Performance, well-being and compensations & benefits
    • Proactively respond to and manage performance counselling, employee grievances and disciplinary issues as required, with a focus on building manager competency and ensuring that documentation is kept.
    • Support the performance management process.
  • Human Resources Policies and Support
    • Maintain and update Staff Human Resources Handbooks as necessary.
    • Proactively pursue continuous process improvement in Human Resources related practices in order to enhance the quality and efficiency of output/delivery.
    • Work closely with HQ to share information and provide support as required.
  • As Coordinator the post-holder is responsible for the following:
    • Responsible for coordinating strategy and operations within a specific discipline in country.
    • Usually has technical line responsibilities within a given discipline, for both strategy and operations.
    • Provide expert advice and support to set strategy and assure operational quality and compliance.
  • Supervisor responsibilities:
    • Coordinate the daily activities of small team, often comprised of subordinates carrying out similar tasks.
    • Does not have direct line management responsibility for staff, but may contribute to recruitment and/or performance appraisal of members of the team.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Master’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business, or Social Science Degree specializing in Human Resources.
  • Minimum 3-5 years’ working experience in Human Resources within an NGO.
  • Demonstrated understanding and working knowledge/experience of Human Resources Management principles, concepts & processes.
  • Extensive knowledge on Ukrainain labor law.
  • Excellent skills in handling and advising on complex people management issues.
  • Experience in developing Human Resources strategies and policies, and driving implementation.
  • Experience using an online system for recruitments.
  • Full professional proficiency in English and Ukrainian/Russian.
  • Nationality of Ukraine.
