SNV is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Junior Business Development Officer in The Hague, Netherlands.
The Junior Business Development Officer will be responsible to support sector and country teams to generate the annual income entirely from project revenues.

Key Jobs Responsibilities
The Junior Business Development Officer will perform the following functions:
- Track selected procurement sites, matching to SNV’s products and profile, sharing relevant procurement notices with an initial analysis and assessment, and responding to general queries from global sector teams and country offices.
- Support preparations for forecast tenders, including intelligence gathering, opportunity assessment, pre-positioning and partner identification and facilitating well informed (bid) decisions.
- Support proposal coordinators / bid managers for key tenders and grant proposals – collecting CVs, project references, and pulling together administrative/legal documents, also from partners, and other key requirements for the proposal.
- Support the coordination of Coordinate SNV’s response to global calls for proposals, sharing information with global sector teams and with country offices, analyzing requirements, coordinating the process and selection of concepts for submission.
- Contribute to internal improvement projects including, but not limited to, business development, working in teams, developing processes, tools and templates, and helping to organise training sessions if needed.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have:
- Qualification (degree/post graduate) in international development, international business, or related technical field of expertise.
- 2-3 years of work experience in new business development or institutional fundraising in an international non-profit or consultancy firm is highly desired.
- Understanding of funding mechanisms and procedures of European bi-laterals such as DFID, SIDA, the EU or multi-lateral development banks such as the World Bank.
- Pro-active work approach, with an attention to detail, and able to support multiple demands and deadlines. Comfortable working in virtual teams in an international, multi-cultural setting.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Proficiency in French is desired.
- Nationality of Netherlands.
