United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Programme Associate in New York, United States.

Key Jobs Responsibilities

The Programme Associate will perform the following functions-

  • Help manage the immediate office operations with respect to communications, meetings and work flow; identifies complex or sensitive subjects, and contacts, as well as priority issues that need to be brought to the supervisor’s attention.
  • Monitor payments against contractual obligations.
  • Generate budget and funds utilization reports and tracks spending.
  • Prepare correspondence on behalf of supervisor and for the supervisor’s signature based on first-hand knowledge of work schedule, events, and communicate sensitive information to senior managers.
  • Review the documents for appropriate format and style, in accordance with standard practices.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must have-

  • Secondary Education (i.e. High School Diploma) preferably supplemented by business administration courses at university level is required.
  • Minimum 6 years of progressively responsible work experience in relevant administrative services, accounting, financial or budget work experience is required.
  • Knowledge and skills in using corporate financial systems is desired.
  • Advanced computer literacy and the ability to effectively use standard office software tools (MS Office, Enterprise database) and other office technology to create documentation, exchange and archive e-mail, and maintain electronic filing systems is required.
  • Fluency in English (verbal and written) is required.
