Key Job Responsibilities

The Project Coordinator will perform the following functions:

  • Identify quality education & Student Service strategies for scholars who are currently/will be studying the at different local universities in Gaza, international universities worldwide, and international TVET centers.
  • Coordinate and serve as PMU focal point for all activities related to domestic scholarships.
  • Coordinate and serve as PMU focal point for all activities related to Quality Education & Student Service.
  • Lead annual work planning for all activities and budget related to quality education and; domestic undergraduate scholarships, international scholarships, and TVET training.
  • Share progress reporting with the Monitoring and Evaluation Coordinator.
  • Coordinate and serve as PMU focal point for all activities related to international master’s scholarships and the international TVET training.
  • Ensure efficient and effective implementation for the approved work plans and activities on accurate and timely manners.
  • Identify and closely supervise the implementation of the quality education & Student Service and technical assistance to be provided to local universities and the main actors in the Palestinian higher system.
  • Provide technical supervision to the sub-recipients and involved local implementing partners.
  • Implement project strategies, policies, coordination and technical assistant.
  • Work in close cooperation with the programme’s Monitoring and Evaluation Coordinator to finalize and implement monitoring and evaluation plans for the quality education & Student Service.
  • Follow up on performance indicators, targets and milestones.
  • Follow up on the quality education & Student Service related financial expenditures, disbursements, budgets, and work plans, and ensures compliance with agreed budgets and targets in Liaison with the Finance and Admin Associate.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must have:

  • BA’s Degree Management, Business administration, Education, Social Sciences or any relevant Fields.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience of Human Development in governmental/non-governmental/International organizations, hands-on experience in design, monitoring and evaluation of education and development projects.
  • At least 4 years of Proven practical experience in youth empowerment and leadership through education.
  • Strong knowledge in higher education context.
  • Proven experience in scholarship programs or relevant fields.
  • Proven experience in Programme or project management.
  • Strong knowledge of the employment sector, market needs, internship, youth skilling, community services, Alumni networking, advocacy, and the education and training sectors.
  • Knowledge on admission procedures to local and international universities and study programme.
  • Experience in monitoring and evaluation tools for education and scholarship programs.
  • Excellent use of project management software and Microsoft applications (Word, Excel and power point presentation).
  • Experience with UN agencies or INGOs is an asset.
  • Knowledge of UNDP’s rules, regulations, and procedures is an asset.
  • Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Arabic, and ability to present coherent and well-structured analysis and articulation in both languages.
