Asian Development Bank (ADB) is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Senior Urban Development Specialist in Suva, Fiji. The duration of this post is 3 years.

Key Jobs Responsibilities

The Senior Urban Development Specialist will perform the following functions-

  • Lead teams processing significant infrastructure, urban, and water investments in SPSO countries, including coordinating sectoral engagement with Pacific members, and working with partners to leverage co-financing.
  • Act as focal point for the civil works and infrastructure activities of SPSO, lead review missions for the supervision and administration of ongoing infrastructure projects.
  • Review and advise on the civil works and equipment specifications in tender documents, and providing a wide range of service in the procurement processes for infrastructure projects or project components under administration by SPSO.
  • Supervise and contribute to project implementation, including preparing, and contributing to the preparation of, project completion reports.
  • Lead and participate in missions for the formulation and processing of loans and TAs in the infrastructure sectors and providing inputs on technical aspects of project design, implementation arrangements, cost estimates and assessing the capacity of the executing and implementing agencies.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must have-

  • Master’s degree, or equivalent, in Business Administration, Public Policy, Economics, or related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant professional experience in private sector or public sector economic research and assessment, and in project administration.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English are required.
  • International experience working in several countries.
