Logistics Coordinator at NRC, Yaounde, Cameroon

Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) is currently seeking applications from eligible applicants for the post of Logistics Coordinator in Yaounde, Cameroon. The duration of this post is 1 year.

The purpose of a Logistics Coordinator is to implement delegated area of responsibility.

NRC provides assistance, protection and durable solutions to refugees and internally displaced persons worldwide.

Key Jobs Responsibilities

The Logistics Coordinator will perform the following functions:

  • Review procurement documents for conformity in Agresso and ensure procurement procedures are managed for National Tenders.
  • Provided operational support to logistics teams for the smooth running of logistics operations.
  • Coordinate technical training sessions for Area Officers and Logistics team in accordance with NRC policies.
  • Monitor the maintenance of equipment for NRC Cameroon office.
  • Assists the entire mission on technical issues (energy, radio communications, computer and office equipment), and performs ad hoc field assignments as required.
  • Responsible for archiving in office 365 according to NRC standards and policies in effect in the Country Program.
  • Verify, Analyze and compile logistic reports of the different offices according to the reporting schedule (purchase tracking report, asset report, stock report,narrative report, vehicle and generator tracking report).
  • Participation in procurement analysis committees, supplier identification and evaluation,inventory, specific logistical activities in the field offices.
  • Directly management assets according to the rules and procedures in plac.
  • In charge of tracking and bills of Terra Mar, orange, rent, etc.
  • Manage suppliers and their registration in Agresso.
  • Supports the Logistics Manager in preparing teams for internal and external audits in the Country.
  • Compile procurement plans.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must have:

  • Experience from working as a Logistics Coordinator in a humanitarian/recovery context.
  • Previous experience from working in complex and volatile contexts.
  • Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities.
  • Knowledge about own leadership skills/profile.
  • Holder of an advanced degree in the field of logistics.
  • At least five years’ progressive experience in INGO.
  • Experience working with donors like NMFA/NORAD, GFFO, ECHO, USAID, UNHCR, SIDA will be astrong advantage.
  • Should be bilingual, speaking and writing English and French.
  • Nationality of Cameroon.
