United Nations Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Consultant in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

Key Jobs Responsibilities

The Consultant will perform the following functions-

  • Support the development of concept notes, terms of reference, funding proposals and partnership agreements in areas related to social policies for children and increasing awareness of child rights.
  • Support update on the situation of children to be used for SDG monitoring and prepare documents to highlight the inequity in the coverage of the services to the children while measuring their reach to the most vulnerable children.
  • Support preparation of summaries and briefs of the reports (in both text form and in the form of infographics) from the relevant research and knowledge products generated by the programme.
  • Support basic statistical analysis of both primary data collected by UNICEF and secondary data generated from the different large scale household based surveys.
  • Support development of thematic data briefs and data summaries.
  • Support the Development of a Research Catalogue for UNICEF.
  • Support the inception phase of the establishment of a ‘Centre of Excellence on the Science of Implementation and Scaling Up’ conducting of the systematic review on examples of successful scale-up.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must have-

  • University Degree in social sciences, statistics, international development or related subjects.
  • At least 3 years of responsible experience in data analysis, research and evaluation.
  • Excellent analytical skills and an in-depth understanding of quantitative and qualitative research methods.
  • Good familiarity with the UNICEF MICS surveys; Good understanding about norms on evaluation followed by UN systems.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English are required.
  • Nationality of Bangladesh.
