United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Gender Specialist in Copenhagen, Denmark.

UNOPS mission is to serve people in need by expanding the ability of the United Nations, governments and other partners to manage projects, infrastructure, and procurement in a sustainable and efficient manner.

Key Jobs Responsibilities

The Gender Specialist will perform the following functions-

  • With the guidance from IAIG, prepare the terms of reference for the review, including the detailed specification of its objectives, scope and timing, that ensures UNOPS achieves the desired results.
  • Carry out the fieldwork in UNOPS/HQ based in Copenhagen-Denmark.
  • The main interlocutor will be the People and Change Group. Interactions with other Units in HQ as well with field offices around the world will be arranged through phone or videoconferencing as deemed necessary.
  • Submit a draft report to IAIG Director upon completion of the assignment within the timeline agreed with IAIG Management.
  • The report will be finalized within 10 working days after receiving UNOPS Management comments.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must have-

  • Master’s Degree or equivalent in Sociology, Political Sciences, or related field.
  • Gender and or related specialization should be part of academic background.
  • Minimum 7 years in the field of diversity and inclusion, human resources gender review, mainstreaming or compliance is required.
  • Experience in Human resources management and Diversity and inclusion is a requirement.
  • Sound practical experience in concepts and tools related to inclusive leadership, recruitment, selection/assessment and performance management is required.
  • Fluency in English required.
