The National Professional Officer will perform the following-

  • Updating and implementing the district micro plans for improving the EPI routine coverage at district levels.
  • Conducting national and sub-national training on district micro planning.
  • Monitoring routine immunization activities and indicators at district levels.
  • Conducting regular field visits to ensure correct implementation routine immunization activities.
  • Ensuring implementation and monitoring of supplementary immunization activities (SIAs) of EPI target antigens.
  • Participate in the preparation, planning, implementing and evaluating introduction of new vaccine.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must have-

  • University Degree in Medicine.
  • Training in epidemiology of communicable diseases, particularly vaccine preventable diseases as well as in biostatistics and data analysis.
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in communicable diseases prevention and control, immunization programmes, vaccine preventable diseases surveillance and data management.
  • Intermediate knowledge of English.
