Abt Associates is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Senior Manager, Communications in Atlanta, Georgia.
The Senior Manager, Communications will work primarily on CDC projects: to provide high quality communication and marketing services and to disseminate messages and products using standard “best practices” for communication development, with an emphasis on effectively reaching identified audiences.

Key Jobs Responsibilities
The Senior Manager, Communications will perform the following functions-
- Develop and implement public health communications and marketing strategies and plans.
- Develop and execute complex health communication strategies and campaigns, including branding, media relations, advertising, promotional materials, digital/social media, and web/interactive tactics.
- Provide strategic guidance and manage promotional materials development, design, and dissemination.
- Provide project management and budget oversight including accurate and timely reports, comprehensive work plans, timelines, and accurate cost estimates for project activities.
- Manage relationships with clients, internal teams, subcontractors, and partners.
- Work with research staff to evaluate public health communications and marketing programs.
- Work with the VP, Strategic Communications on new business development activities.
- Mentor and train mid-level and junior communications staff.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- MA/MBA (13 – 15) years of experience OR PhD (8 – 10) years of experience OR the equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proven technical expertise, experience in business development, client relationship management and supervision/staff development.
- Demonstrated health marketing and communications experience.
- Prior federal government, PR agency, or corporate consulting experience.
- Proven track record winning new business in the federal health sector, particularly at CDC.
- Proven track record in creating and executing innovative marketing communications strategies.
- Ability to direct multiple projects simultaneously in a fast paced environment.
- Exceptional collaboration, strategic thinking, and creative problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated written and oral communication skills.
