United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Chief Social Policy in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Key Jobs Responsibilities

The Chief Social Policy will perform the following functions-

  • Develop social protection policies, legislation and programmes with attention to achieving universal coverage of and increasing impact on children at national and sub-national level.
  • Identify, generates and presents evidence to support this goal in collaboration with partners.
  • Promote the introduction of universal child grants, providing intellectual leadership and technical support to partners to improve the design of unconditional and universal child grants and improve linkages with other social policy interventions such as birth registration, health, nutrition, parenting, education and other relevant services.
  • Facility improved monitoring and research around social protection impacts on child outcomes, tax-benefit microsimulation of the cost and poverty reduction impacts of social protection and use of data and research findings for strengthening programme results.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must have-

  • Advanced university degree in Economics, Public Policy, Social Sciences, International Relations, Political Science, or other relevant disciplines and experience.
  • Familiarity with social statistics and policy analysis is a must.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant professional work experience is required.
  • Developing country work experience and familiarity with emergency is considered a strong asset.
  • Fluency in English is required.
