United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) is currently seeking applications from eligible applicants for the post of Social Policy Officer in Rabat, Morocco.

Key Jobs Responsibilities
The Social Policy Officer will perform following functions-
- Contribute to research and analysis concerning adolescents and young people who are neither students nor employees nor in training (NEET).
- Contribute to the analysis and data collection by taking part in the various studies in progress, particularly related to the analysis of the situation of children in Morocco or other studies in progress.
- Participate in the analysis of the macroeconomic context and its impact on social development and issues related to social policies, as well as the impacts on children, and propose and promote the appropriation of appropriate responses in respect of identified issues, including the allocation of government resources and the effect of social policies on children’s rights.
- Support the collection, analysis and presentation of data on the monetary and multidimensional poverty of children, including capacity building at the national level in the collection, reporting and use of data for policy decision-making.
- Contribute to a budget analysis to support advocacy and technical assistance with all relevant ministries to improve equitable access to essential child benefit allocations.
- Work on capacity building for effective analysis of priority interventions to inform policy decisions with child-centered investments.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- University degree in one of these fields: Economics, Social Policies, Social Sciences, International Relations, Political Science, or in a technical field related to social policies.
- At least 2 years of relevant work experience is required.
- Professional experience in international cooperation projects, and in the management of development projects will be a strong asset.
- Master’s in human rights-based and results-based approaches according to UNICEF programming standards.
- Knowledge of issues related to poverty and the well-being of children.
- Knowledge of programmatic objectives and UNICEF vision.
- Perfect command of French and Arabic is required.
- Good knowledge of English is a major asset.
- Nationality of Morocco.
