Operations Analyst at WBG, Gaza, West Bank and Gaza

The World Bank Group (WBG) is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Operations Analyst in Gaza, West Bank and Gaza.

WBG has set 2 ambitious goals to push extreme poverty to no more 3 percent by 2030, and to promote shared prosperity and greater equity in the developing world.

Key Jobs Responsibilities

The Operations Analyst will perform the following functions-

  • Support the implementation of World Bank Operations in West Bank and Gaza, with a focus on timeliness, quality and results of country deliverables.
  • Provide operational support to Task Team Leaders for the HD GPs, including coordination of operations and various activities and providing back-up support, when needed.
  • Interact with client representatives and implementing agencies, including on project implementation issues.
  • Contribute to specific operational activities at all stages of the project cycle, including participation in the design and development of specific project components, coordination with development partners, implementation support, and reporting.
  • Participate as a member of Bank missions (preparation, appraisal, supervision), conducts independent discussions with client representatives on selected problems and issues identified by task managers, and participates in negotiations.
  • Rely on relevant technical and country knowledge to provide technical support to task teams preparing or supervising activities.
  • Provide guidance to task teams on operations procedures and help resolve operations issues.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must have-

  • Master’s degree in Management, Economics, Health, Education, Public Administration, or a related field with minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Sound knowledge of the local context, including development policy and aid structure, in particular in areas of health, education, social protection and labor.
  • Strong spoken and written communication skills in English including the ability to speak and write persuasively and present ideas clearly and concisely.
  • Familiarity with World Bank operational guidelines and procedures, project cycle, fiduciary and safeguards responsibilities is a plus.
  • Nationality of West Bank and Gaza.
