The International Labour Organization (ILO) is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of National Project Officer – NOA in Cairo, Egypt. The duration of this post is 12 months.
The mission of the ILO is to promote rights at work, encourage decent employment opportunities, enhance social protection and strengthen dialogue on work-related issues.
Key Jobs Responsibilities
The National Project Officer – NOA will perform the following functions:
- Planning and management roles:
- Contribute to the development of the project’s implementation plan, and accordingly, closely monitors the timely delivery of activities as planned, makes updates to the plan as necessary.
- Follow up and monitoring role:
- Maintain close follow-up with the project’s contractors, to ensure the timely submission of deliverables as planned, in coordination with the monitoring and evaluation officer, and with the support of the project’s administrative and financial staff.
- Budgetary and financial role:
- Support the effective and efficient allocation of the project resources, prepares budget estimates, processes budget revision, maintains the project’s procurement plan and forecasts, and accordingly, monitor expenditures and commitments, and proposes corrective actions, as necessary, to ensure the optimal rates of delivery in line with the project’s workplan.
- Other roles:
- Support and coordinate the undertakings of the project’s internal and external auditing, prepares necessary documents and reports to be reviewed by auditors.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have:
- University Degree in social sciences, business administration, development studies, or related fields.
- At least 2 year’s experience in the implementation of technical cooperation project, preferably in the field of youth employment.
- Good knowledge on skills development and entrepreneurship is a considerable asset.
- Excellent written and oral command of English and good knowledge of Arabic.
