World Health Organization (WHO) is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Logistics Assistant in Libreville, Gabon. The duration of this post is 2 years.
The primary role of WHO is to direct and coordinate international health within the United Nations system.
Key Jobs Responsibilities
The Logistics Assistant will perform the following-
- Manage the logistics of the team (accommodation) and book flights12.
- Ensure the smooth functioning of the general services (telecom, computer, internet … etc.).
- Report weekly, by means of a written report, of the logistic activity of the program and the state of the stocks and fuel consumption; Produce monthly reports by vehicle, by staff and by Cluster on the consumption of Fuel, Telephone, Office Supplies, computer consumables, etc.
- Ensure the safe environment of WHO teams in their workplace and life.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- Completion of high school with training in general administrative practices with emphasis on logistics, procurement (practices, theories and procedures).
- Training in logistics, procurement / purchasing would be an asset.
- Training on United Nations systems.
- Proven skills in writing and editing required.
- 8 years of experience in administrative positions, preferably with several years of experience in the United Nations and a good knowledge of its rules, regulations, procedures and practices related to logistics work.
- Excellent mastery of French
- Practical knowledge in English.
