World Health Organization (WHO) is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Field Coordinator in Donetsk, Ukraine. The duration of this post is 6 months.

The primary role of WHO is to direct and coordinate international health within the United Nations system.

Key Jobs Responsibilities

The Field Coordinator will perform the following functions-

  • Represent the Health Cluster in UN coordination forums (Humanitarian, Inter-sector, etc.) at Oblast level.
  • Conduct and support health assessments and mapping the identified health needs, analyse the gaps and make suggestions about how to prioritise the activities to be implemented in the NGCA.
  • Assess the capacity and functioning of the Primary Health Care facilities and service delivery in the NGCA, aiming at establishing an adequate referral systems.
  • Manage and monitor the implementation of service delivery and health system capacity building activities in close collaboration with national and international health partners and the local health authorities and report on the implementation status.
  • Monitor health status and health risks of different population groups (including gender and age) at Oblast level.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must have-

  • University Medical degree, degree in International Development or relevant social sciences.
  • University degree in public health.
  • At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in a complex health related emergency context with at least 2 years at the international level.
  • Demonstrated experience with Health Cluster Coordination.
  • Expert knowledge of English.
