World Health Organization (WHO) is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Specialist, Health Systems and Services Analysis, Monitoring and Evaluation in Washington, D.C., United States. The duration of this post is 2 years.

The primary role of WHO is to direct and coordinate international health within the United Nations system.

Key Jobs Responsibilities

The Specialist, Health Systems and Services Analysis, Monitoring and Evaluation will perform the following-

  • Collaborate in the defining and implementation of technical cooperation programs and activities related to monitoring and evaluation of public policies for health systems and services performance.
  • Provide technical support in the design and implementation of the Universal health monitoring framework.
  • Coordinate the collection and analysis of indicators for monitoring advances towards Universal Health and health systems performance.
  • Conduct data mining, literature reviews and analysis to contribute to technical reports, publications, policy briefs and a variety of reports to monitor and evaluate health systems performance and equitable access to health.
  • Manage large household survey databases from countries and perform analyses of primary and secondary data using statistical software packages.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must have-

  • A university degree in a health or social science, information management, or related areas from a recognized institution.
  • 5 years of combined national and international experience working in the area of health systems and services information management; monitoring and evaluation, statistical analysis, and program evaluation.
  • Very good knowledge of English or Spanish with working knowledge of the other language.
  • Knowledge of French and Portuguese would be an asset.
