Key Jobs Responsibilities

The Coordinator of Human Resources and Administration will perform the following functions:

  • Ensure adherence to NRC policies, manuals and guidelines.
  • Implement the support functions delegated to it in relation to the action plan.
  • Write reports on the progress of support activities upon request of management.
  • Ensure the correct archiving of documents and personnel file.
  • Encourages and is proactive in promoting improved support functions.
  • Frames and manages the staff under his supervision.
  • Coordinate the process of recruiting staff in Niger following the procedures in force.
  • Regular monitoring of staff contracts.
  • Coordinates the updating and archiving of personnel files in accordance with the NRC guidelines.
  • Organization and follow-up of training for staff.
  • Support the performance management process and maintain the up-to-date tracking database for the entire mission.
  • Coordinate tracking the travel, accommodation and management of residences of expatriate staff.
  • Implement the capacity building policy for national staff as well as any HR initiative or project (salary review).
  • Manage all issues related to compliance with the Labor Code, Code of Conduct and other guidelines.
  • liaise with key partners and institutions in the field of human resources.
  • Follow up and update the Leave Tracking Table, Contracts and Staff List Table.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must have:

  • Proven professional experience in Human Resources in a similar role and in a humanitarian context.
  • Advanced degree in Human Resources or equivalent field.
  • Previous work experience in complex and unstable contexts or with international NGOs would be an asset.
  • Proven results on the responsibilities of the position.
  • A good command of French.
  • English is an asset.
  • Good knowledge of Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Skype and internet.
  • Knowing how to express yourself in front of varied audiences
  • Strong editorial ability.
  • Ability to work within a multicultural organization and whose members come from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
  • Nationality of Niger.
