The Human Resource Specialist will undertake a broad range of human resource functions to contribute to the development, implementation, and improvement of personnel/benefits policies, programs and activities to support the goals of the Human Resource (HR) Strategy.

The ADB aims for an Asia and Pacific free from poverty.

Key Jobs Responsibilities

The Human Resource Specialist will perform the following functions:

  • Undertake the implementation of benefits policies and administration of benefit programs.
  • Undertake or assist the work to review benefits policies as necessary; to recommend improvements on relevant benefits policies, to develop guidelines as appropriate, and to improve benefits administration ensuring alignment with the overall HR strategy.
  • Undertake or assist relevant studies and analysis of internal and external trends, and develop recommendations for appropriate revisions or adjustments to the benefit programs.
  • Undertake or assist to streamline work processes to ensure efficient and effective benefits delivery to staff, dependents, retirees and beneficiaries.
  • Undertake or contribute to other ad hoc work or projects assigned to BPOH as needed.
  • Provide supervision, direction and regular monitoring and feedback on performance of the supervising staff to the senior staff or to Director, BPOH.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must have:

  • University degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Management, or related fields, preferably at post-graduate level or its equivalent.
  • High level of IT knowledge; computer literacy; and familiarity to quantitative analysis.
  • At least 6 years of relevant experience in benefits policy and administration as well as understanding of the benefits and practices in international or multinational organizations.
  • International experience working in several countries.
  • Strong interpersonal skills required in dealing with the diverse expectations and problems arising from a multicultural environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English, as well as presentation skills.
