Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) is currently seeking applications from eligible applicants for the post of HR Assistant in Ramadi, Iraq. The duration of this post is 12 months.

The purpose of the HR Assistant is to comply with NRC’s HR policies and procedures, assist with the implementation of HR policies and procedures at office level, provide support in recruitment processes, including advertisements, filling applications, inviting candidates, organising interview venues, update staff records and files, including contracts, leave, medical, appraisals and generate monthly records and reports such as staff lists, leave and other HR statistics.

NRC provides assistance, protection and durable solutions to refugees and internally displaced persons worldwide.

The HR Assistant will perform the following functions:

  • Ensure the CV’s are received and put in a folder properly and handed over to the relevant section head for short listing and further process.
  • Ensure all the employees files are updated and having the required documents and information in.
  • Ensure the leave request forms are properly filled.
  • File of recruitment files, staff attendance.
  • Support the HR Officer in administrative issues.
  • Support the Program staff in administrative issues.

Eligibility Criteria

  • University graduate in a relevant field(s) with minimum 1 year experience in a Human Resources position and in humanitarian/recovery settings, especially in complex and volatile environments.
  • Fluency in English, both verbal and written is required.
  • Knowledge of Arabic will be a distinct advantage.
  • Nationality of Iraq.
