HR Officer at NRC, Ramadi, Iraq

Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) is currently seeking applications from eligible applicants for the post of HR Officer in Ramadi, Iraq. The duration of this post is 12 months.

The purpose of the officer position is day to day implementation of the support functions responsibilities. ensure adherence with NRC policies, tools, handbooks and guidelines, Implement delegated support function portfolio according to plan of action, Prepare and develop status reports as required by management, Ensure proper filing of documents and promote and share ideas for improvement of the support function.

NRC provides assistance, protection and durable solutions to refugees and internally displaced persons worldwide.

Key Jobs Responsibilities

The HR Officer will perform the following functions:

  • Recruitment process of national staff in AO.
  • Issuing of contracts and all documentation related to this.
  • Monitor contract periods and end of contracts and notice letters.
  • HR archiving of staff files.
  • Payroll for national staff in the Area Office.
  • Attendance and time sheet administration for AO.
  • Staff welfare and insurance for national staff AO.
  • HR archiving.
  • Assist HR Coordinator in other HR related issues in Area Office.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must have:

  • University graduate in a relevant field(s) with minimum 2 years’ experience in a Human Resources position and in humanitarian/recovery settings, especially in complex and volatile environments.
  • Fluency in English, both verbal and written is required.
  • Knowledge of Arabic will be a distinct advantage.
  • Nationality of Iraq.
