Key Jobs Responsibilities

The Human Resources Associate will perform following functions-

  • Support working partnerships.
    • Support the development of employee wellness initiatives and employee recognition programs.
    • Support partners by helping to use human resource management systems such as Talent Management , performance management and skills development, as well as management of change processes.
  • Support for processing the rights and benefits of national staff.
    • In consultation with the supervisor, analyze, research, verify and compile data and information on cases that do not comply with UN and / or UNICEF rules and regulations, to to ensure a consistent and equitable application of decisions and the implementation of agreed measures. Respond to staff questions on the areas of benefits and entitlements.
    • Maintain and prepare all personnel files and files, ensuring that all information about each staff member is up-to-date and accurate.
  • Recruitment and placement support.
    • Prepare and disseminate internal and external vacancy publications.
    • Liaise with candidates at different stages of the recruitment process.
    • Prepare official acknowledgments, offers and letters of regret.
    • Initiate and follow up on reference checks and academic audits, and ensure that other background checks are performed.
    • Monitor the life cycle of the recruitment process to update the supervisor if necessary.
  • Organizational design and position classification support.
    • Participate in the review of position-specific descriptions.
    • Write and edit job descriptions to be submitted for review by the supervisor.
    • Monitor and liaise with Headquarters and the Regional Office on the status of requests to ensure timely completion.
    • Analyze, research, verify and compile data, information and statistics on positions and personnel that facilitate the preparation of workforce planning reports.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must have-

  • At least a high school diploma, completed by technical or university courses related to the field of human resources or a similar field.
  • At least 6 years of required experience in positions of responsibility in the field of human resources.
  • Fluency in French and Arabic is required.
  • Mastery of English is preferred.
  • Nationality of Algeria.
