Key Jobs Responsibilities

The Accounting Assistant will perform the following functions-

  • Update the bank account details of WBG staff, vendors, short-term consultants and temporaries, grantees and visitors in a timely manner in SAP for HQ and Country Office vendors.
  • Perform related activities, such as extending a vendor to a new company code or blocking or unblocking vendors based on requests from Accounts Payable (AP) or AR.
  • Liaise with AP, AR, Treasury, and Procurement to ensure timely and accurate update of master data.
  • Respond to client inquiries in a correct and timely manner, and resolve problems or provide alternative solutions.
  • Explore automation opportunities and coordinate with ITS and WFAPA’s HQ counterparts for automation initiatives.
  • Maintain up-to-date process documentation (process flow chart, narratives, and Risk and Controls matrix) for audit and reference purposes.

Applicants must have-

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance/Commerce or related field with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in the AP function in SAP or any other enterprise resource planning system is desirable, but not required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows applications, such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new technology quickly and effectively.
  • Good analytical and communication skills.
  • Nationality of Indonesia.
