WWF-India is seeking applications from eligible applicants for the post of Assistant Accounts Cum Admin Officer in Darjeeling, India.

Key Jobs Responsibilities

The Assistant Accounts Cum Admin Officer will perform the following functions:

  • Financial Management
    • Oversee the project’s management of financial functions ensuring contract compliance.
    • Assist Officer Incharge to develop and prepare budget forecast and mange expense within approved budget.
    • Develop and maintain appropriate systems and cost-effective, timely procedure and controls such as cash management, vendor payments, and budgeting to properly disburse, account, budget and report funds.
    • Coordinate with Officer Incharge for timely and accurate preparation and submission of regular financial statements and other cost reports to the Secretariat including providing guidance to project staff and partners.
  • Administration & Operations Management
    • Provide guidance and supervision to the project office, bank account, operations and logistics, staff administration, telecommunication etc.
    • Manage funds at local bank and update bank transaction to the officer Incharge regularly.
    • Maintain asset and inventory registers and controls over fixed assets, such as vehicles, office furniture, equipment etc.
    • Protect the organization’s resource and assets and ensure efficient usage in accordance with project goals.
    • Establish information technology systems and operational facilitates to support project staffs.
    • Manage the repair and maintenance of computer and office equipment.
    • Mange the filing, storage and security of all office documents.
    • Address other financial and operational issues related to the project as deemed necessary and appropriate by the Officer Incharge.
    • Assist project staffs in the field activities as and when required.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must have:

  • B.Com with minimum 1-2 years’ experience, preferably in a Development sector Organization.
  • Sound knowledge of on-line payments and cash payments to staff, bank reconciliation, dealing with statutory payments.
  • Proficiency in Financial/Accounting ERP module and experience of handling of FCRA funds and accounts shall be an advantage.
