Asian Development Bank (ADB) is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Senior Legal Officer in Manila, Philippines. The duration of this post is 3 years.

Key Jobs Responsibilities

The Senior Legal Officer will perform the following functions-

  • Provide independent advice and assists OGC counsel on legal aspects relating to nonsovereign operations.
  • Prepare draft documents and advice on legal aspects of nonsovereign operations, including legal due diligence, preparation of investment documentation, and preparing all other legal documents consistent with ADB’s internal law, lending and other operational policies.
  • Maintain and updates model documentation for all ADB mandate, confidentiality, and country framework agreements related to non-sovereign operations.
  • Obtain and reviews legal origination and administration documents, including legislation that may affect non-sovereign projects.
  • Assist deal teams in identifying legal issues that may arise from project design, including issues related to environmental and social safeguards.
  • Assist deal teams in negotiations with clients, both in preparing for such negotiations and taking action further to such negotiation.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must have-

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law and member of the Philippine Bar, preferably with Master’s Degree or equivalent.
  • At least 10 years relevant experience in entire project cycle from processing to implementation as well as in research-related activities.
  • Familiar with project documentation and conducting legal due diligence.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English.
  • Excellent analytical skills; attention to details; ability to concentrate.
