The Monitoring and Evaluation Assistant is responsible for engaging in data collection, reporting and validation activities to support the Line Manager in contributing to quality programming and organizational learning.

NRC provides assistance, protection and durable solutions to refugees and internally displaced persons worldwide.

Key Jobs Responsibilities

The Monitoring and Evaluation Field Assistant will perform the following functions:

  • Adhere to NRC policies, tools, handbooks and guidelines.
  • Prepare and develop status reports as required by the Line Manager.
  • Ensure proper filing of documents.
  • Promote and share ideas for improvement of the M&E function.
  • Conduct monitoring activities with NRC beneficiaries to get information and feedback on the quality and relevance of assistance; or on demand as part of programmes needs assessments and outcomes monitoring and follow up activities.
  • Ensure accurate and word to word data collection and entry, cleaning, compiling and upload.
  • Assist the Line Manager with administrative and logistic requirements of the M&E activities.
  • Carry out related mainstreaming of protection in programme daily implementation as per the set NRC’s Protection mainstreaming guidelines, and ensure reporting any breaches/concerns to the line manager for proper action.
  • Ensure that all protection related detected cases are referred to the concerned referral focal point and to the related Protection Coordinator.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, humanities, quantitative/qualitative research methods, public health, or any other related field.
  • Relevant work experience in data collection preferably in social work, community development, non-government, and/or outreach organizations.
  • Previous experience from working in complex and volatile contexts.
  • Fluency in English and Arabic, both written and spoken.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Word and Excel.
  • Experience using Digital Data collection applications (e.g., ODK, KoboCollect).
  • Nationality of Lebanon.
