Key Jobs Responsibilities

The Programme Policy Officer will perform the following functions:

  • Nutrition :
    • Contribution to the formulation of recommendations for the improvement of the quality of the activities implemented by WFP in the covered area.
    • Contribution to the formulation of recommendations for the improvement of the quality of the activities implemented by WFP in the covered area.
  • Rural Development :
    • Track field activities and systematically update the basis of recommendations.
    • Participate in communal consultation frameworks.
    • Participate in the evaluation of the development.
    • Participate in the classification of sites.
  • Education :
    • Monitoring of MAP activities in the area covered.
    • Contribution to the formulation of recommendations for the improvement of the quality of the activities implemented by WFP in the covered area.
    • Contribution to support and reinforcement of cooperating partners in the area covered.
    • Perform other tasks related to the function or requested by the hierarchy.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must have:

  • High School Diploma. A post-secondary certificate in the related functional area is desirable.
  • Excellent command of French and good knowledge of English.
  • Good knowledge of local languages.
  • Bachelor’s in nutrition, agronomy, social science, project management, statistics or any other equivalent degree.
  • At least 3 years of experience in the field of data collection, project management or other relevant areas.
  • Experience in quantitative and qualitative data analysis, triangulation.
  • Knowledge of results-based management and be familiar with the concepts of monitoring and evaluation.
  • Nationality of Niger.
