Asian Development Bank (ADB) is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Senior Finance and Administration Assistant in Myanmar.
The Senior Finance and Administration Assistant will provide operational and administrative support in the areas of financial management, control, and reporting for Myanmar Resident Mission (MYRM).
The ADB aims for an Asia and Pacific free from poverty.
Key Jobs Responsibilities
The Senior Finance and Administration Assistant will perform the following functions-
- Acts as the processor of Financial Management Accounting System (FMAS) for MYRM including preparing and verifying vouchers, receipts and other supporting documentation for MYRM’s financial transactions.
- Maintains accurate and timely accounting records and provides periodic and ad hoc reports of MYRM financial transactions relating to both operational and administrative activities in accordance with ADB’s guidelines and procedures.
- Processes and accounts for disbursements of MYRM operational and administrative activities including payment for contractual services, day-to-day cashiering, bank functions (e.g. deposits, withdrawals) and handling of MYRM petty cash.
- Facilitates payment on regional technical assistance (RETA)/technical assistance (TA) and other organization-related transactions including liquidation if needed.
- Responsible for issuing of travel advance, monitoring of travel budget utilization for MYRM, and submission of travel related documentation with close coordination with the Loan Administration Division of Controller’s Department to meet ADB guidelines on business travel.
- Coordinates closely with the agents for visa service and travel service as well as providing advice to ADB HQ on visa requirements and cost effective routing on mission travel.
- Arranges transportation for the RM routine needs and mission travel. Ensures proper usage of ADB vehicles record and maintains vehicle efficiently.
- Provides support in carrying out personnel administration functions including processing and monitoring of overtime, leave, attendance, etc.
- Maintains and updates relevant databases and records for personnel files of MYRM.
- Monitors the activities of drivers, cleaners and the maintenance of RM compound.
- Provides guidance to junior administrative staff and contractual staff on general office process and financial matters.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, personnel management or related field.
- 5 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in accounting & financial system, administrative and personnel administration in international agencies preferred.
- Good computer skills with sound knowledge of common word-processing, spreadsheets and graphics software used in ADB.
- Ability to establish and maintain productive contacts with appropriate officials of host government, donor agencies and executing agencies.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills are desirable.
- Good oral and written communication skills in English are essential.
- Familiarity with local languages and institution.
