Associate Operations Analyst at ADB, Manila, Philippines

Asian Development Bank (ADB) is currently seeking applications from eligible applicants for the post of Associate Operations Analyst in Manila, Philippines. The duration of this post is 3 years.

The Associate Operations Analyst will provide analytical, technical, and administrative support for the timely engagement of consultants; technical assistance (TA) processing and administration; support in organizing knowledge events; and research assistance and data analysis.

Key Jobs Responsibilities

The Associate Operations Analyst will perform the following functions-

  • Technical Assistance Administration
    • Handle the financial and administrative component of EROD’s regional TA processing and administration by analyzing and reporting to supervisors on budgets, contracts, progress reports, and disbursements.
    • Draft internal and external correspondences, such as memos for requests for additional financing, TA extension, letters of agreement, contract variations, and government concurrences.
  • Consultant Selection and Administration
    • Contribute to the efficient hiring of consultants under the administrative budget and technical assistance.
    • Coordinate with division staff to process consultant engagement requests through the Consultant Management System and monitor the progress.
    • Liaise with specialists in the Procurement, Portfolio and Financial Management Department regarding the division’s consultant selection needs and solving routine problems independently.
  • Knowledge Management
    • Provide analytical and administrative support to the preparation of various briefing notes, presentations, reports, publications, other knowledge products.
    • Organize of knowledge events by facilitating all budget requirements, including advances and liquidations, funds transfers, payments to suppliers.
  • Research Support
    • Provide support for data gathering and graphical presentation of data.
    • Gathers data, prepares tables and charts, and provides analytical support for the division’s other priority research.
  • Others
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the position’s immediate supervisor, International Staff, and/or National Staff.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must have-

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, or related fields.
  • Suitability to undertake the responsibilities mentioned above at the required level.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English is required.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel and MS Power Point; and familiar with ADB databases (e.g., CMS, TAIS, eOps) and website.
  • Knowledge of ADB business processes for consultant engagement and project administration instructions.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as a good team player.
  • Good coordination, organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Nationality of Philippines.
