World Health Organization (WHO) is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Executive Assistant in New Delhi, India. The duration of this post is 2 years.

The primary role of WHO is to direct and coordinate international health within the United Nations system.

Key Jobs Responsibilities

The Executive Assistant will perform the following functions-

  • Provide assistance in the procurement and delivery of supply (including pharmaceutical, laboratory and medical and other good and service) and equipment for assigned country in the Region.
  • Assist in conduct of Market research for good and service.
  • Perform Order Administrator function and responsibility in the Global Management System (GSM) which involve reviewing, and converting Request for Pricing Estimate (RPEs) to ITB’s or RFPs.
  • Also verify all approved good, requisition to ensure compliance with business rule and principle prior to assigning cleared requisition to the procurement team at Global Service Centre (GSC).
  • Coordinate with relevant internal and external stakeholder including, GSC, WHO Country Office (WCO) and Technical Unit at the Regional Office, varying contractual partner, shipping agent, Government Official and Administrative unit in respective office across the region.
  • Provide Emergency response assistance to WCOs ensuring value for money procurement of good and service in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Ensure correctness and verify accordingly invoice including checking, recording of funding reference, endorsing for certification by Procurement Officer and liaising with Finance Unit in relation to payment of invoice.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must have-

  • Completion of secondary education
  • Procurement or supply chain management or logistics training (CIPS level(s) training would be an asset).
  • At least 5 years experience in office assistance and administrative process, handling logistics or supply chain management or related procurement activity
  • Experience in procurement or logistics in a in UN organization, international organization, government, business or professional office.
  • Expert knowledge of English.
  • Expert knowledge of Hindi.
