Asian Development Bank (ADB) is currently seeking applications from eligible applicants for the post of Principal Operations Coordination Specialist in Manila, Philippines. The duration of this post is 3 years.

The Principal Operations Coordination Specialist advises and supports the Director General (DG) and Deputy Director General (DDG) on various aspects of private sector operations in the context of PSOD’s work program and operations.

The ADB aims for an Asia and Pacific free from poverty.

Key Jobs Responsibilities

The Principal Operations Coordination Specialist will perform the following functions-

  • Strategies, Policies, and Business Processes
    • Contribute to the formulation and revision of strategies, policies, operational plans, and business processes.
    • Lead and implement new initiatives and special programs as assigned by PSOD’s management.
    • Support the development of risk management frameworks including deployment of economic capital models, as needed.
    • Support the coordination of new development effectiveness tools.
  • Reporting and Marketing
    • Prepare briefing notes, marketing materials, data analyses, and other materials as needed.
    • Provide inputs to annual reports, portfolio reports, evaluation reports, audit reports, and other ADB-wide reports.
    • Oversee quality control of PSOD’s Board documents.
  • Collaboration with Other Departments and Groups
    • Review and provides comments on papers on behalf of PSOD.
    • Lead the coordination for PSOD’s engagement in Country Partnership Strategies.
    • Lead and champion PSOD’s activities on regional cooperation and integration.
    • Support, collaborate and cooperate in sector and thematic group activities as needed.
  • Budget and Administration
    • Act as PSOD’s focal person on budget and administrative expenditures.
    • Assist PSOD’s management in PSOD’s organizational planning.
  • Staff Supervision
    • Create and lead multi-disciplinary teams as assigned and ensures the overall quality of its work.
    • Provide coaching and mentoring to individuals and teams and ensures their ongoing learning and development .
  • Others
    • Lead, coordinate, support and/or handle ad hoc assignments as assigned by DG, PSOD.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must have-

  • Master’s degree, or equivalent, in economics, business administration, finance, social sciences or related fields.
  • University degree combined with specialized experience in similar organization/s, may be considered in lieu of a Master’s degree.
  • At least 12 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Knowledge of development policies and strategies, with strong conceptual and analytical abilities.
  • Ability to lead inter-disciplinary teams, capacity to take initiative with sound judgment, and decision-making capacity.
  • International experience working in several countries.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English is required.
