Asian Development Bank (ADB) is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Principal Planning and Policy Economist in Manila, Philippines. The duration of this post is 3 years.

Key Jobs Responsibilities

The Principal Planning and Policy Economistl will perform the following functions-

  • Lead the development, review, and reform of ADB’s business processes and procedures, including Operations Manual (OM) sections and Staff Instructions (SI) to ensure that they remain relevant and up to date.
  • Provide operational support by clarifying issues and answering questions about specific directional documents and guidelines found in OM and associated SI.
  • Take a proactive role in quality assurance review of selected CPSs and projects to ensure consistency with applicable operational policies and appropriate choice of modality.
  • Provide substantive contributions to corporate strategic planning and policy coordination.
  • Lead in knowledge sharing and disseminating relevant information, findings and lessons to increase awareness and knowledge in ADB about operations policies and business processes.
  • Act as a resource person for internal training and external briefings on ADB operational policies and procedures.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must have-

  • Master’s Degree, or equivalent, in law, economics, finance, business, public administration or related fields.
  • University degree combined with specialized experience in related organization may be considered in lieu of a Master’s Degree.
  • Minimum of 12 years of relevant professional experience (including international experience working in several countries).
  • Thorough knowledge of strategic objectives, priorities, and operational procedures of ADB or similar multilateral development institutions.
