United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) is currently seeking applications from eligible applicants for the post of Human Resources Specialist in New York, United States. The duration of this job is 6 months.

Key Jobs Responsibilities
The Human Resources Specialist will perform the following functions
- Project Management
- Assist with the review, consultative process and implementation of key initiatives and projects, including but not limited to Staff Selection Policy.
- Integration of the Competency Framework into the Recruitment Guidelines and Toolkits.
- Integration of Child Safeguarding in the Recruitment Guidelines.
- Reduction of bias in recruitment and Selection.
- Assist with the review, consultative process and implementation of key initiatives and projects, including but not limited to Staff Selection Policy.
- Policy Revision
- Review, develop, write, and distribute materials to promote and report on the revised staff selection policy and products and initiatives
- Review and integrate comments received on the policy.
- Update the Standards and Guidelines and FAQs to integrate the comments.
- Develop a respond to update on the action taken on the comments.
- Review, develop, write, and distribute materials to promote and report on the revised staff selection policy and products and initiatives
- Policy Communication
- Support in the development of communication products, including presentations, written materials and communication support including, copyediting, proofreading, and quality control
- Craft short messages for different stakeholders in bite-size (short text).
- Write monthly updates to keep all stakeholders updated on the policy development.
- Design pictures and video clips to tell stories that captures the changes in the policy.
- Design strategies to ensure effective dissemination of messages in order to reach all stakeholders.
- Support in the development of communication products, including presentations, written materials and communication support including, copyediting, proofreading, and quality control
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have:
- University Degree (equivalent to a Master’s Degree) in any of the following relevant areas internal communication, change management, public policy.
- 8 year’s relevant working experience in internal communication, strategic communications, change management, or public policy.
- 1 year experience working in policy communications, change management and training design and delivery.
- Fluency in English with excellent written and oral communication skills is required.
- Knowledge of French or Arabic considered as an asset.
