World Health Organization (WHO) is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Project Officer in Geneva, Switzerland. The duration of this post is 6 months.
The primary role of WHO is to direct and coordinate international health within the United Nations’ system.
Key Jobs Responsibilities
The Project Officer will perform the following functions-
- Manage the organization of the logistics for the Review Group.
- Facilitate project delivery by providing timely managerial and administrative services including administrative and financial operations, human resources, procurement, travel, ticketing and transportation, logistics.
- Organize the distribution of tasks and coordinate among the team.
- Manage information technology including GSM operations, telecommunications, publication and dissemination of reports.
- Establish procedures for information management and communication.
- Coordinate relations with stakeholders and regularly update them on progress.
- Undertake other tasks as assigned by the Team Lead.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- University degree in business administration, human resources management, economics, social sciences, public health or a closely related field.
- Advanced University Degree (Masters Level) in social sciences, business administration or management.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience including managerial experience, with at least three years in an international organization or setting.
- Previous, relevant UN or WHO work experience.
- Experience with reviews/audits and interaction with external committees.
- Experience working on Enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
- Excellent organizational, project management and negotiation skills.
- Analytical skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Sound judgment, integrity and tact in dealing with others.
- Good communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
- Good knowledge of the WHO and UN systems.
- Experience using project management tools, SharePoint, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Expert knowledge of English and intermediate knowledge of French.
