The Monitoring Associate will perform following functions-

  • Database update -agreed upon and implemented according to the availability of quantitative information on child and adolescent rights in Mexico.
  • Generation of statistical information for use by all areas of the office in support of the realization of their programming, advocacy and fundraising goals.
  • Generation of recommendations to improve the quality of statistical information related to children and adolescents in Mexico, particularly with respect to thematic gaps and lack of disaggregation, in order to better design public policies to uphold child rights.
  • Preparation of statistical inputs necessary in the office, such as the annual report y the collection of information for the State of the World’s Children (global publication of UNICEF), with respect to Mexico. Collaboration in the M&E processes of the office with respect to relevant technical inputs.
  • Support the Office in reviewing research documents and studies made in the Country Office, with regards to data and statistics on the situation of children and adolescents rights in Mexico.
  • Support the work of the Country Office in collecting, improving Access to and disseminating statistical information related to child and adolescent rights in Mexico, with emphasis on persistent equity gaps.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must have:

  • Completion of secondary school, university level courses in Social Sciences, International Relations, Social Development, Community Development or other relevant disciplines.
  • Bachelor’s degree a plus.
  • 7 years of progressively responsible work experience, of which at least one year is closely related to support of programme activities.
  • Fluency in Spanish and English.
