World Health Organization (WHO) is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Director, Strategic Planning and Performance Management in Geneva, Switzerland. The duration of this post is 2 year.

The primary role of WHO is to direct and coordinate international health within the United Nations system.

Key Jobs Responsibilities

The Director, Strategic Planning and Performance Management will perform the following-

  • Provide direction and coordination of the overall strategic planning and performance management of the Programme in close collaboration with Senior Management Team at the Headquarters and Regional Offices.
  • Lead the development and prioritization of the overall Programme strategy, results and performance framework to be presented as part of the WHO General Programme of Work and Programme Budget, including: organization-wide impact, outcomes, outputs and deliverables; performance indicators and targets; and resources requirements and budgets.
  • Oversee the development of strategies and plans for all aspects of the Programme including risk mitigation and readiness plans, humanitarian response plans and transition/recovery plans.
  • Based on available information and surveillance, develop scenario and contingency plans for likely events.
  • Coordinate and ensure coherence of cross-cutting policies in relation to engagement with external partners and stakeholders for planning and performance management.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must have-

  • Advanced university degree in public health, project management, public or business administration, international relations, economics, political science, or related discipline.
  • Post-graduate certificate or diploma in public health project management, public or business administration, international relations, economics, political science, or related discipline.
  • Expert knowledge of English.
