The International Labour Organization (ILO) is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of National Project Coordinator – NOA in Kiev, Ukraine. The duration of this post is 8 months.
The mission of the ILO is to promote rights at work, encourage decent employment opportunities, enhance social protection and strengthen dialogue on work-related issues.
Key Job Responsibilities:
The National Project Coordinator – NOA will perform the following functions:
- Support the day-to-day operations of the project, including finding, assessing and contracting consultants as well as tracking their delivery, quality and progress on the assignment to ensure high quality on-time delivery.
- Coordinate technical inputs from ILO experts, specialists, and consultants to ensure timely delivery of the project results.
- Review and analyse the country’s specific development plans and strategies, socioeconomic data, reports and other relevant information. Identify potential technical cooperation areas and provide written analysis on the findings.
- Follow-up or meet with relevant technical officers with representatives in ministries at national level, government offices, trade unions, employers’ associations and in other organizations to expedite implementation and meet targets.
- Assist in the programming and control of resources of the project, prepare budget estimates and expenditure forecasts by analysing and monitoring situation of resources as compared to planned activities and making recommendations for remedial action.
- Identify problems, propose solutions and actions.
- Actively participate in and provide inputs into the analytical and research activities of the project, monitor and provide feedback on activities conducted by ILO experts and consultants.
- Participate in the preparation and conduct of seminars, workshops, training sessions, and consultative meetings.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have:
- First level University Degree in economics, public policies, development studies or a relevant field.
- An advanced Degree would be a strong advantage.
- At least 2 year’s professional experience at the national level in the area of project management or implementation.
- Proven experience in working with the private sector or private sector development.
- Good knowledge of business management, economics, economic development and social policies.
- Knowledge of the policy making process.
- Excellent knowledge of Ukrainian and English.
