Danish Refugee Council (DRC) is currently seeking applications from eligible applicants for the post of Team Leader- Livelihoods in Slovyansk, Ukraine. The duration of this post is 1 year.

DRC fulfills its mandate by providing direct assistance to conflict-affected populations – refugees, internally displaced people (IDPs) and host communities in the conflict areas of the world.

Key Jobs Responsibilities

The Team Leader- Livelihoods will perform the following functions-

  • Develop and manage strategic direction of the project field operations in accordance with the projects’s deliverables and targets.
  • Manage DRC’s field teams in Slovyansk, Severodonetsk and Mariupol working on this project (up to 10 people).
  • Provide leadership and team building for DRC’s field staff.
  • Develop in-depth understanding of local context, participating in activities under all the project components, that include business support, job creation, community mobilization, institutional capacity building for local governments and infrastructure rehabilitation.
  • Ensure all DRC field staff follow the job descriptions and are compliant with DRC’s key policies and procedures.
  • Support in development of progress, interim and final progress reports for the project.

Applicants must have-

  • Advanced university degree in economics, public/business administration, or other related field.
  • Proven practical knowledge of the project cycle management.
  • At least 5 years of overall working experience, at least 2 years of work experience within an international humanitarian/development organization.
  • At least 2 years of experience in managing multi-functional teams.
  • Good communication, presentation and reporting skills.
  • Full working proficiency in both oral and written English, Ukrainian and Russian (equally important).
  • Nationality of Ukraine.
